In the focus group, we aim to examine the acceptance of digital and physical security, as well as the tension surrounding digital sovereignty, and to raise awareness of IT security, KIVO and the GDPR amongst companies in the Aachen area, the Euregio and beyond. We will examine dependencies on hyperscalers, their influence on business models and security, and highlight risk factors.
Through presentations and other information sessions, the group regularly informs and engages in discussion with members and friends of the digitalHUB on current topics and trends. It is not just ‘experts’ but end-users who demonstrate to companies concrete approaches and solutions designed to bring about sustainable improvements in the areas of security and sovereignty.
Cybersecurity and digital sovereignty are very closely linked to the topics of data privacy (data protection, GDPR), artificial intelligence (AI) and, consequently, to the AI focus group here at the HUB. Group members strengthen their connections by attending each other’s regular meetings.
