The forest is an excellent example of how nature manages its resources sustainably. It has had a good 350,000 years to develop this way. It is therefore also a good example of a sustainable economic system because there are many similarities between the forest and our economy: there is growth and competition, but also cooperation and a great deal of communication. And there is even a monetary equivalent. However, the forest's behavior follows a different overarching principle than our current economic system. With a walk of approximately 2 to 3 hours, interspersed with short breaks, we want to explore this understanding of sustainable management. We will walk mostly on paved paths, but also partly off-trail through the forest. Sturdy footwear and appropriate clothing are mandatory. And please bear in mind that it is generally cooler in the forest than in the city. For an exercise, please bring a small mat or cushion to sit on. We will meet at 4:30 pm at the Köpfchen border crossing by the wooden egg behind Café KuKuK (  https://w3w.co/sessel.aufdruck.ernsten  ). The starting point of our walk can be reached by bus line 14 from the bus station (Köpfchen Altes Zollamt stop).
