Die Fokusgruppe Sustainability & &Social Entrepreneurship lädt zur zehnten Ausgabe der „sustainabilityBITS“ mit aachen eden e.V. ein:



Die Vision von aachen eden e.V.:



"Mit Aquaponik und Vertical Farming möchten wir Lebensmittel ressourcenschonend und regional herstellen. Auf derzeit ungenutzten Flächen wollen wir neue Formen der Urbanen Landwirtschaft sichtbar und erlebbar machen, sowie Orte des Austauschs zwischen Akteur*innen der Stadtgesellschaft, Wissenschaft und Politik schaffen. Wir planen unsere Anlagen als außerschulische Lernstandorte in ein langfristiges Umweltbildungsprogramm einzubetten und somit einen interaktiven Zugang zu Themen der Nachhaltigkeit, Kreislaufwirtschaft und Quartiersentwicklung zu schaffen."



Die Idee für die „sustainabilityBITS“ wurde im letzten Jahr von den Teilnehmer:innen der Fokusgruppe entwickelt. Der Grundgedanke „Learning by sharing“ dient dem Teilen von Erfahrungsschätzen und dem Austausch zunächst innerhalb der Community. Dementsprechend richtet sich die Veranstaltung an alle digitalHUB Aachen-Mitglieder.



Die „sustainabilityBITS“ sind digitale Appetit-Häppchen zur Mittagszeit – 10 Minuten Impuls und 20 Minuten Diskussion – und finden jeweils am letzten Mittwoch des Monats statt.

Fabian Roemer (Managing Director) and Tim Mandelartz (1st Chairman) of the association  aachen.eden e.V.  want to show with their idea how food can be produced sustainably, regionally and urban. The systems aremany scalable and can be adapted to the local conditions. In this way, vacant and brownfield sites in Aachen can be used again in a meaningful way. In doing so, the association draws on elements from the concepts of "aquaponics" and "vertical farming" to produce healthy and fresh products in a resource-saving way.



The idea for the "sustainabilityBITS" was developed last year by the participants of the focus group. The basic idea of "learning by sharing" serves to share experiences and exchange, first of all, within the community. Accordingly, the event is aimed at all digitalHUB Aachen members.



The "sustainabilityBITS" are digital appetizers at lunchtime - 10 minutes of impulses and 20 minutes of discussion - and take place on the last Wednesday of every month.
